About Us

     Owner, Trey Montgomery, began his initial experience in land improvements by planting pine trees for landowners back in the mid 1980’s.  Whether running a crew of hand planters or contracting site prep for mechanical planting, he was directly involved with planting thousands of acres to now see those same tracts being thinned and clear cut and made ready for planting again. 

     I am a certified burn manager under the State of Alabama.  Having learned first-hand from years of personal experience in control burning my own tracts and other landowners’ tracts of land the value that it provides timber and wildlife. It is one of the oldest and most efficient tools available to the landowner with incredible benefits for fuel reduction and removing understory and undesirable trees that compete with nutrients meant for your pine plantation. Prescribed burning promotes the growth of forbs and tender vegetation which attract and hold wildlife on your property.  

     I am excited about this opportunity to put my passion for restoring land to the benefit of other landowners. Land that has not achieved its highest and best use is land that has never reached its potential.  Every piece of land should have a good steward.
